BRONZE MEMBERSHIP FAQS
No, upgrading an old Thai Elite membership to Bronze is not currently available, but upgrades to Gold, Platinum, Diamond, or Reserve memberships are possible.
No, family additions are not allowed for Bronze memberships. Each family member must apply separately. Only Platinum, Diamond, and Reserve memberships offer the option of a supplementary card for family members.
Bronze membership costs 650,000 THB, while Gold costs 900,000 THB. The key difference is Privilege Points—Gold members receive annual points for perks like free golf, flights, and wellness treatments, while Bronze members do not. However, Bronze members still enjoy most permanent discounts and special offers available in other tiers.
It depends on your needs. The DTV is more affordable but requires proof of professional remote work, specific activities in Thailand, and at least 500,000 THB in liquid funds. It allows stays of up to 180 days with no additional benefits. Bronze membership, while more expensive, has no such requirements and permits year-long stays with added privileges.
For applicants who have not yet paid: Yes, they can switch to Bronze by submitting a Bronze Membership Application Form.
For applicants who have already paid: No, switching to Bronze or requesting a refund is not allowed, but they will receive one additional health check-up, redeemable by 31 December 2025.
No, the Thailand Privilege Card (Thailand Elite visa) does not permit work directly. However, members can apply for a Non-B visa and work permit to work in Thailand. Once granted a Non-B visa, they must use it instead of the Elite visa, as Thai law allows only one active visa. The Elite visa remains valid until its expiry but cannot be used concurrently for work. Members must also manage their 90-day reporting separately.
As of now, Bronze membership is available only from December 15, 2024, to June 30, 2025. While it may become a permanent option, this has not been confirmed.
